Purpose and Principles
Our goal is to foster an open, transparent, and equitable platform where quality news content thrives through community consensus. Our guiding principles are clarity, transparency, and fairness.
Advertising and Monetization
No Third-party Advertisements: All advertisements displayed will strictly be first-party, aimed solely at encouraging users to become paying subscribers or purchase official merchandise.
No Sponsored Content: Sponsored posts or externally funded content of any kind are prohibited to maintain neutrality and objectivity.
Content Visibility
All content submissions undergo our community consensus algorithm. Content visibility is purely driven by user consensus, and not by external influence or financial considerations.
Content-Centric Design
Our platform is content-centric rather than user-centric. Users cannot follow individual accounts, only specific content topics. This approach prevents power accumulation by system gamers. If you find an individual's contributions valuable, check their public profile; they may provide external links (Substack, Twitter, etc.) to follow their work externally.
Content Standards
No Hate Speech: Hate speech, defined explicitly as content promoting violence, threats, intimidation, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics, is prohibited. Content critiquing ideas or institutions without promoting or inciting violence or discrimination does not qualify as hate speech.
No Pornography: Explicit pornographic material is strictly forbidden. Users interested in such content must use alternative platforms.
Content Format
Our platform will exclusively support long-form, written, and deeply informative content. Short-form videos (such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) or newsletter-style briefings (e.g., Substack-style summaries) are explicitly disallowed to ensure quality discourse and reduce superficial content.
Algorithm Transparency
All ranking, sorting, and recommendation algorithms are publicly available and independently verifiable. We commit to transparency to ensure trust and accountability.
User Equality and Monetization
No additional platform features or privileges will be provided to paid subscribers. Every user has equal access to all platform functionalities. Payments are voluntary contributions from users who find genuine value in our service, similar to tipping.
User Protection from Addictive Designs
Our platform actively avoids creating addictive feedback loops or dopamine-driven interfaces. Users are encouraged and enabled to report any features perceived as addictive or manipulative.
Business Model
Our platform is not a non-profit entity. We aim for sustainability through user-supported monetization, ensuring independence from external influences.
Reporting and Enforcement
Users can report violations or concerns through clearly available mechanisms. The community consensus algorithm and moderation team handle enforcement transparently and consistently.
